Enable international shipping rates in your store

Optional, if you'd like to enable Australia Post rates for international orders follow the process in this guide below.

The process is much the same as setting up our app to provide rates for Australia; you simply need to choose our app as the rate provider for your international zones.

Enable Australia Post international shipping rates

  1. Go to your Shopify Dashboard. For example: storename.myshopify.com

  2. Click Settings in the bottom left corner.

  3. Then click Shipping and delivery from the list of options.

  4. Click Manage rates on whichever shipping profile you'd like to add international shipping to.

  5. Scroll down to the 'Shipping to' section. In my example I already have a zone called Domestic, which includes only Australia. At the bottom of this screen it reminds me there are 236 countries and regions not included in a zone. This is a good way to see if you have left any regions out of your shipping zones.

  6. From here you can click Create shipping zone either at the bottom or to the right of 'Shipping to'.

  7. Name your zone and pick which regions will be included. We've decided to put all of the other countries and regions into a 'catch all' zone called 'Rest of world'. Alternatively you can break down your international areas into separate zones if you prefer. Click Done when you have selected the countries to be included.

  8. Next, click Add rate, under the new zone you just created.

  9. In the 'Add rate' window, choose Use carrier or app to calculate rates. Make sure 'Australia Post Shipping' is the selected rates provider. Select the services you wish to offer, then click Done.

  10. Lastly, make sure to save your changes by clicking the Save button at the top right.

And you're done! You've now enabled Australia Post rates for your international zones and international customers from your zones will have shipping rates available to them.
