Do I need to setup product weights and dimensions?

Short answer - yes, if you want shipping rates to display at your checkout.

Product weights are pulled in from your Shopify product settings, so make sure you have applied weights to all of your products. Addition will not be able to quote, if you do not have product weights assigned.

Setting up products with dimensions is vital to ensuring you don't lose out on shipping costs, or overcharge your customers. By recording product dimensions, Addition will be able to determine the correct packaging to use for a particular order and offer the customer a more accurate shipping rate.

Note: For eParcel and StarTrack users, shipping rates are calculated based on your individual contract.  Because this differs between stores, you may or may not be required to provide Australia Post with package dimensions.
