Setting Up the Extra Small Satchel
Extra Small satchels are available within the Addition app! If you want it to display as an option during fulfillment, or want the app to use the Extra Small Satchel for rate calculation at checkout, you’ll need to configure them in your Packaging section.
⚠️ Important: Australia Post flat rate satchels and boxes are for domestic shipments only. For international shipments, you’ll need to set up a custom package instead
How to Add an Extra Small Satchel
Go to Settings > Packaging
In Addition, open your Packaging settings.
- Select the Package Type
- Choose from the preset Australia Post satchel options.
- Select Extra Small Satchel
- Choose Purpose of Package
- Select if this satchel should be used for:
- Checkout (rate calculations shown to customers),
- Fulfillment (label creation only), or
- Both Checkout and Fulfillment.
- Select if this satchel should be used for:
- Set Empty Package Weights (Optional)
- Add Markup (Optional)
- You can add an additional cost to cover handling or packaging expenses.
- Save Your Package
- Click Save to finalise your Extra Small satchel setup.
How to Add an Extra Small Satchel Rate
- Go to Rates.
- Click Edit (or Set up) next to MyPost Business or Retail Rates, depending on which rate type you want to configure.
- Select Add rate.
- Scroll down the list, find Parcel Post Extra Small Satchel and/or Express Post Extra Small Satchel, and tick the option(s) you’d like to make available at checkout.
- Click Add rates to save.
