Error message: HTTP request returned status code 404: {"errors":"Location not found."}

If you see the error message:

HTTP request returned status code 404: {"errors":"Location not found."}

this usually points to an issue with your “Send from” address. It means that either:

  • No default shipping address has been set, or
  • The address saved in your Locations settings is invalid.

How to fix the error

Follow these steps inside the Addition dashboard:

  1. Go to Settings in the left-hand menu.
  2. Select Locations.
  3. Click Resync Locations to refresh your address list.

    Check your Address field(s). Update any incomplete or invalid details until the system accepts them.

    • If the address is valid, the red error will disappear.
  4. Make sure to Set as Default your main shipping location.

Important notes

  • You must enter an address for Addition to work.

    If you have privacy concerns, you can use either:

    • A PO Box number, or
    • A street description (instead of a full residential address).
  • Without a default shipping address, Addition cannot create shipments, and you’ll continue to see this error.


Next steps

Once you’ve updated your locations:

  • Retry your shipment.
  • If the error persists, double-check that your default location is correctly set and fully populated.
