Error message: HTTP request returned status code 404: {"errors":"Location not found."}
If you see the error message:
HTTP request returned status code 404: {"errors":"Location not found."}
this usually points to an issue with your “Send from” address. It means that either:
- No default shipping address has been set, or
- The address saved in your Locations settings is invalid.
How to fix the error
Follow these steps inside the Addition dashboard:
- Go to Settings in the left-hand menu.
- Select Locations.
Click Resync Locations to refresh your address list.
Check your Address field(s). Update any incomplete or invalid details until the system accepts them.
- If the address is valid, the red error will disappear.
- Make sure to Set as Default your main shipping location.
Important notes
You must enter an address for Addition to work.
If you have privacy concerns, you can use either:
- A PO Box number, or
- A street description (instead of a full residential address).
- Without a default shipping address, Addition cannot create shipments, and you’ll continue to see this error.

Once you’ve updated your locations:
- Retry your shipment.
- If the error persists, double-check that your default location is correctly set and fully populated.
