IOSS, VAT and EORI numbers not supported

When shipping internationally, some regions require IOSS, VAT or EORI numbers to be declared on labels. Addition does not currently support these fields.

Why this matters

Missing numbers can result in shipments being rejected or delayed at customs. For example:

  • IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop): for EU VAT collection and declaration
  • VAT number: required for many countries to apply goods and services tax
  • EORI number: required for clearance into and out of the EU and UK

As a workaround, we can set up a Shipping Automation in Addition to insert your IOSS, VAT or EORI number into the Delivery Instructions field depending on the destination country. This allows the number to be passed to Australia Post on the order.

If you prefer, you can also lodge these shipments directly through the AusPost portal where the dedicated fields are available.
