Add a percentage or fixed price to rates in Shopify

Adding a markup or adjustment to your carrier rates in Shopify is simple, read the guide below.

How to adjust your rates

1. Go to your Shopify admin. For example: storename.myshopify.com

2. Click Settings, then Shipping and delivery.

3. Choose Manage rates for the appropriate shipping profile.

4. Scroll down to the 'Shipping to' section, and find the rates you wish to edit.

5. Expand the 3 dots to the right of the rate and choose Edit.

   

   NOTE: If you can't find the rate you'd like to adjust look for a 'Carrier and app rates' tab in the 'Shipping to' section. Australia Post Shipping rates can become hidden when there are Shopify default rates also.

6. Add your rate adjustments in the 'Handling fee' field, it could be a positive or negative number. You can also choose to apply an adjustment by percentage or by flat rate.

   

7. Click Done and you’ve successfully modified your rate. 

8. Make sure to save your changes, click the Save button to the right.
