eParcel Plus - Getting Started

Before we get started, in order for the app to calculate shipping rates:

  1. You need to connect your eParcel account to Addition (see below if you don't have your API + Password as yet)
  2. You need to create, and setup your packages
  3. You must have weights assigned to your products in Shopify
  4. Configure your product dimensions (Especially if you have multiple sized parcels)

Rate Setup Guide

Upon first install on the Homepage you have the option to ‘Set up Shipping Rates with Addition’ - click on ‘Get Started’, and you will be taken through, step by step.  Going through the guide is the easiest way to get started.

Manual Setup Guide

  • From the Addition dashboard click 'Rates'
    • If prompted to, click 'Install Carrier' here Screen_Shot_2022-10-01_at_6.52.58_pm.png
  • Click 'Setup' next to the account type(s) you want to connect to your checkout (Retail, MyPost, eParcel or StarTrack)
  • Select 'Use Account'
  • Select 'Add rate'
  • Scroll through and select rates e.g. Express Post, Parcel Post and if a signature option or transit/Extra cover (insurance) will be offered to customers at the checkoutmceclip0.png
  • Click the green 'Add rates' button to save

API Key & Password - Requesting credentials

You will need to get your API key and Password, if you don't already have these credentials, please follow these steps to request them or touch base with your eParcel Account Manager (if applicable):

  • Start by registering for a Developer account on the Australia Post Developer platform, which you can do through https://developers.auspost.com.au/register. If you already have an existing account, simply log in.
  • Once you have logged into your developer account, you will need to register for the Shipping & Tracking API by visiting https://developers.auspost.com.au/apis/st-registration. During the registration process for the Shipping & Tracking API, please ensure that you select "Addition" as your integration platform. This selection will associate your account with our service.
  • You can expect to receive an email containing your production credentials within 1-2 business days.

API Key & Password - Adding credentials

  • In the Addition app, go to Settings > Accounts
  • Select Link next to eParcel and input the account information provided in the PDF file you received.
